Liverpool news: Bookmakers open market on Jurgen Klopp’s next excuse

From the snow to the wind, Jurgen Klopp’s repertoire of excuses is quite something.

Most recently, following Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with West Ham on Monday night, the German blamed referee Kevin Friend for his team’s struggle despite the Reds benefiting from a blatant offside in the build up to their goal.

And the same result at home to Leicester days earlier was followed by claims that Liverpool were hindered by the snowy Anfield pitch.

Meanwhile, Manchester City have capitalised on their rivals’ dropped points by overtaking them in the race for the Premier League title.

And ahead of Liverpool’s upcoming clash with Bournemouth, you can actually bet on Klopp’s next excuse if Liverpool falter once again.

A SportNation.bet spokesman said: “As the title race pressure brings an increasingly weird and wonderful range of excuses out of Klopp we thought it was only right to let fans get in on the action.

“The odds suggest there should be no need for excuses, but if Klopp slips further behind in the title race the betting suggests anything from the weather, Everton or even former players will take the blame instead of his own players.”
