Eden Hazard transfer: Chelsea star to tell club he wants Real Madrid move – reports

Eden Hazard is set to tell Chelsea he wants to join Real Madrid this summer, reports claim.

The 28-year-old winger has been linked with the Spanish giants for years and makes no secret of his desire to play at the Bernabeu one day.

He recently revealed he has made a decision on his future, and according to the Telegraph, he will officially inform Chelsea that he wants to leave.

The Blues will demand more than £100million for their star player, and Madrid are reportedly confident of finally landing the Belgian as they prepare a summer bid.

Chelsea have failed to convince Hazard to sign a new contract and his current deal expires in the summer of 2020.

Speaking to French radio station RMC as part of a documentary that will be aired on Wednesday night, Hazard said: “I know what I am going to do. I have made a decision.”

The interview took place around two months ago, and in that time, Hazard has continued to flirt with Real Madrid and give mixed signals to the English press.

Everything Hazard has said about Real Madrid

His manager, Maurizio Sarri, recently admitted that the winger should go if he wants to leave.

Sarri said: “Eden is 28. If he wants to go, I think he has to go.

“Of course, I hope the opposite. I hope he wants to stay here.

“He has the potential to be the best player in Europe at the moment.”

Hazard’s possible departure could have implications on the future of Real Madrid loanee Mateo Kovacic.

It is understood the Croatian will be offered on a permanent deal as a potential sweetener by the LaLiga club.

Meanwhile, Callum Hudson-Odoi may decide to stay at Chelsea and occupy the vacant position on the left wing, rather than move to Bayern Munich.
