Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka set to be included in Gareth Southgate’s England squad

Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to be fast tracked into the England squad for their upcoming fixtures in March.

Gareth Southgate has been to watch the Palace starlet three times in the last month.

Wan-Bissaka, 21, who also qualifies to play for DR Congo having represented their youth side, is in line to feature against the Czech Republic and Montenegro as England begin their quest to reach Euro 2020.

Kyle Walker, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kieran Trippier are the players currently battling for the right-back position, but Southgate is an admirer of Wan-Bissaka and wants to make sure he commits his international future to England by winning a senior cap.

Southgate wants to avoid a repeat of what happened to his Palace team-mate Wilfried Zaha, who won two England caps against Sweden and Scotland, but switched allegiance to represent the Ivory Coast.

Wan-Bissaka, who has won two under-21 caps for England, has played 27 times in all competitions for Palace this season.
