Cristiano Ronaldo unwinds at the gym after first home game & win for Juventus

Yet to open his account for the Old Lady in competitive football, the forward nevertheless works day and night to keep in top physical shape at 33

There is no rest for the wicked – nor for Cristiano Ronaldo, it seems, as the Juventus forward went straight back into training following his home debut in Italy. 

Ronaldo drew his second consecutive blank in Serie A on Saturday against Lazio, although he did pick up a rather fortuitous assist when he diverted the ball into Mario Mandzukic’s path. 

That Mandzukic goal added to Miralem Pjanic’s earlier strike to seal a 2-0 victory , marking six points out of six for the reigning champions as they seek an eighth straight Scudetto.

The former Real Madrid star may not have found his scoring boots yet since moving from Real Madrid, as the wait continues for his first competitive goal. 

But ever the perfectionist, he showed his admirers that the famous Ronaldo physique most definitely did make the trip from the Spanish capital to Turin. 

Not for Cristiano a lazy Sunday with the family or friends; he was to be found in the gym toning up without rest.

And from the evidence on show in the player’s Instagram post, that hard work is certainly paying off as, at 33, he wards off the spectre of middle age spread that catches up with the rest of us mere mortals. 

Ronaldo will have another chance to break his Juve duck on Saturday, when the Bianconeri visit newly promoted Parma.
