Gonzalo Higuain starts against Huddersfield in what will be his first Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.
The loan signing is joined in attack by Willian and Eden Hazard, while Bayern Munich transfer target Callum Hudson-Odoi is on the bench.
The striker did not have the best start to life in the Premier League as Chelsea were blown away by Bournemouth 4-0 during the week in a game in which he appeared once in the Cherries’ penalty area.
After the game, Maurizio Sarri said Higuain is slowly getting back to full fitness.
“He can improve a great deal,” said the manager. “At this moment, he is not in good shape, probably because he has played very little recently between transfer market distractions and back pain.
“He can grow a great deal over the next few weeks.”
The former Real Madrid and Juventus star has the perfect chance to score his first goal against the league’s bottom club.
