Chelsea fans go crazy for ‘Drogba-esque’ Gonzalo Higuain after striker scores first goal for Blues

Gonzalo Higuain is off the mark at Chelsea after his clever run and emphatic finish gave his new club the lead over Huddersfield at Stamford Bridge.

The Argentine completed his loan move to the Blues in January after cutting short his season-long loan spell at AC Milan.

He has re-united with under-pressure Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri, after the pair worked together at Napoli during the 2015/16 season.

And a bit of that pressure on the Italian will have been alleviated after seeing his big signing open his goalscoring account.

N’golo Kante found Higuain with an incisive through ball on the right and the forward did the rest by firing the ball powerfully beyond the helpless Jonas Lossl in the Terriers goal.

The Argentine added another in the second-half with a curling effort that took a slight deflection as the Blues ran out 5-0 winners.

Higuain’s exploits prompted many Chelsea fans to take to Twitter to celebrate the goal, with one fan even likening him to club legend Didier Drogba.

Higuain has a long way before reaching the heights Drogba did but these Blues fans seem optimistic he has what it takes.

Below you can see some of the best Higuain tweets from these Chelsea fans.
