Cardiff City have signed Leandro Bacuna from Reading in a deal worth around £3million, the Premier League side have confirmed.
The Dutchman has signed for the Bluebirds on a four-and-a-half year contract.
Cardiff boss Neil Warnock had been keen to secure the signing of a full-back and a midfielder before the window closes on Thursday evening.
And Bacuna will appeal to Warnock for his versatility as he can play both as a right-back and further forward as a midfielder.
The 27-year-old also has valuable top flight experience from his time with Aston Villa – spending four years with the club and tallying up over 100 appearances along the way.
He has joined from Championship side Reading where has appeared 27 times for the Royals and netted three goals.
Speaking about his move, Bacuna said: “Every game I play I give 100%, and I’ll be fighting hard to help our team.
“I’ve played against the manager and you can see he always wants to win. He is so passionate.
“It’s going to be great to work underneath him and hopefully he will push me on as a player.”
