Barcelona vs Real Madrid: Rivals drawn against each other to provide El Clasico Copa del Rey semi-final

Barcelona and Real Madrid have been drawn against each other in the semi-final of the Copa del Rey.

The first leg of the tie will be played at the Camp Nou on February 6 or 7 with the second then being held at the Santiago Bernabeu on February 27 or 28.

Barcelona came back from a 2-0 deficit to beat Sevilla 6-3 in their quarter-final clash and will be aiming to add a fifth consecutive Copa del Rey.

Madrid made it to the last four by scoring seven past Girona over two legs to reach the semi-final stage for the first time since 2014.

The last time the two sides met in the cup was in 2014, in the final, when Madrid won 2-1 after goals from Angel Di Maria and Gareth Bale.

In La Liga, there are currently 10 points separating the two sides with the Catalan club having the sizeable lead at the summit.

Luis Suarez scored a hat-trick as they thrashed Madrid 5-1 during their previous encounter this season, which led to manager Julen Lopetegui losing his job.

Real Betis and Valencia were drawn together in the other semi-final.
