Arsenal youngster Emile Smith Rowe has joined RB Leipzig on loan until the end of the season.
The 18-year-old flew to Germany to have a medical after the two clubs agreed terms on the switch.
He has been promised more opportunities in the first-team at Leipzig with Gunners boss Unai Emery approving of Smith Rowe’s desire for more experience.
Leipzig were interested in the midfielder for a while but the move only went in motion after Arsenal wrapped up a loan deal for Barcelona man Denis Suarez.
Smith Rowe, who won the Under-17 World Cup with England in 2017, is viewed as a future star for the north London side and has impressed during their Europa League campaign in the first half of the season. – scoring three goals in six appearances.
He joins fellow Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson, who is currently on loan at Hoffenheim, in the Bundesliga.
