Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been added to Liverpool’s Champions League squad for the knockout stages.
The England midfielder has not played since injuring knee ligaments in the Reds’ first leg semi-final win over Roma last April.
Oxlade-Chamberlain was expected to be sidelined for the entire campaign.
But his inclusion in Liverpool’s Champions League squad is an indication he will play again before the end of the season.
Reports claim the 25-year-old’s rehabilitation has gone so well that he could return to full training this month.
Last month, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp said: “He is close, very close, and in a really good way.
“That will still take a couple of, last time I put a bit of pressure on the medical department.
“But when I see him moving the ball and what he’s doing already it looks really good, promising, close to return.”
Liverpool take on Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the Champions League last-16 in two weeks.
